Derivative Differential, Inductive Sensors for Short Magnetic Pulse Measurements

The article presents the proposal solution of the magnetic field sensor design process. The task aims at design the low cost, “single use” inductive coil capable of the measurement rapid high level electromagnetic pulses in destructive conditions. The measurement environment makes it impossible to use reference sensor for its vulnerability and price. Proposed sensors are verified against reference Montena B-dot SGM2G sensor. The results of the 4/16μs standard shock impulse measurements together with additional simulations are presented and discussed.
