Rule-Based Hybrid Building Control System

The article deals with the field of building automation system. It covers both continuous (heat exchangers, radiators, convectors) and discrete (thermostats, fans, pumps) elements operating on the on/off principle. Such systems are described through mixed logical-dynamical models. To manage the system, an approach is proposed that allows for the integration of traditional climate control equipment and the latest systems based on predictive controllers. Different variants of implementation of the hybrid control system are considered. The results of the simulation confirm effectiveness of the proposed approach for the management of building engineering systems.
