Development of Calibration System for Defibrillator Analyzers

To ensure the traceability and reliability of the electrical defibrillation pulse energy, this paper presents the development of an integral source-meter setup for the calibration of defibrillator analyzers, that has been designed to generate and measure both typical monophasic and biphasic waveforms. By synchronously sampling the pulse voltage and current to calculate the energy, the 0.2%E+0.1 J uncertainties of pulse energy from 0.1 J to 360 J are achieved and independent of the load.
