Inverse scattering in the multiple scattering regime using different gradient approximations

In this work we describe a linearized inverse method, based on the minimization of a cost functional, for reconstructing the permittivity of a target from scattered farfield in the multiple scattering regime. We show that accounting for multiple scattering in the calculation of the gradients of the cost functional ameliorates significantly the outcome of the reconstruction.
