Matching Plasmas and Electrodes in Numerical Simulation of High-Pressure Arc Discharges: A Summary

Numerical modelling of high-pressure arc discharges is a topic of high scientific interest and significant importance for various technologies. For the modelling to be self-consistent, the computation domain must include not only the arc plasma but also the electrodes. The aim of this contribution is to summarize self-consistent approaches developed in recent years for matching solutions on the interfaces separating the plasma and the electrodes.
