High-precision smart system on accelerometers and inclinometers for Structural Health Monitoring: development and applications

The Structural Health Monitoring system with high accuracy is presented. The system is based on super high sensitive accelerometers and inclinometers of Floated servo type or precise, but relatively inexpensive Q-Flex servo type as the sensors. The principles of our system design and methodology are explained within. Numerous experiments on application of the developed system for inspections of structural condition of buildings, bridges, etc. in Russia, China and South Korea are discussed. The means to identify resonances, inadmissible for structures are outlined.
