3D Image Reconstruction of a Robotic Arm in MATLAB from Images Acquired with FPGA

This paper presents a 3D reconstruction of images, filmed with stereo cameras, in MATLAB. In the experiment it's used a robotic arm which it's photographed with stereo cameras and it's reconstructed in 3D using software. The MATLAB software can do reconstruction of any object if it has two images from two different positions. The stereo image reconstruction it's a very demanded task, due to the fact that 3D imaging became more popular in the last years. The 3D object than it can be used as a normal 3D generated object, the only difference is that it's much simpler to make, it needs only the images from different sides of the object and with the usage of some image processing software the 3D image can be generated. All the work is done by the computer and not by the user.
