Cubic Receiver Based High Speed Visible Light Communication Systems

In this paper, a cubic receiver based non-imaging MIMO VLC system is proposed. Channel state information unknown at transmitter (CSIUT) and known at transmitter (CSIT) are taken into consideration. Diversity MIMO scheme with all of the light-emitting diode (LED) lights transmitting the same signal and multiplexing MIMO scheme with independent signal streams transmitted by different LED lights are both studied in this paper. Theoretical analysis about signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and bit-error ratio (BER) performances are provided. Simulation results evaluate the system performances and confirm the correctness of the analysis.
