An Indirect Modeling Method for RBF-ARX Model

This paper proposes a new modeling method for the RBF-ARX model. This method is simpler than the previously used SNPOM and makes the RBF-ARX model more flexible in choosing model index and modeling data. Meanwhile, it improves the longterm prediction performance largely. A case study on modeling of a ship's maneuvering process illustrates the effectiveness of the proposed modeling method.
