Highly Conductive Stretchable Wirings Composed of Ag Foils and Elastomer

Wearable electronics have gained much attention due to their potential applications in various areas. Stretchable wiring is one of the most important components for wearable electronics. Here a highly stretchable wiring prepared with a paste composed of low cost Ag micro foils and Poly(dimethylsiloxane) is developed, which can be cured under a low temperature of 100 °C. The Ag foils enable large contact areas between the different particles compared with the round particles and flakes, which can provide an excellent resistivity of 4.9 × 10

Ω·cm. The relative resistance rises to only 12.0 times after stretching to 80% and it can recover. Moreover, the fabrication process of the stretchable wiring enables low temperature curing and simple roll-to roll process, which is suitable for the mass production of wearable electronic devices.
