Abstract:

This study presents an operational analysis of a half-bridge single-phase inverter with ultra-fast IGBTs and freewheeling diodes (Module SKM100GB125DN, manufactured by Semikron); The inverter control unit consists of an ARDUINO UNO for pulse width modulation, an ULN 2804 amplifier, a CD4069 inverter and a dual hybrid conductor SKHI22A. The Simulink software package, which is especially suitable for power electronics circuits modelling, was used for inverter operation modelling. In addition, a laboratory setup of the inverter was built in order to experimentally verify the simulation results. A good agreement of the simulation and the experimental results was established.
