Quench Behavior Comparison Between Solid Nitrogen and Conduction Cooled REBCO Coated Conductor

The quench properties for REBCO conductor in SN
₂
and conduction cooled system are studied. The normal zone propagation velocity determined by voltage, temperature, and strain methods is compared to demonstrate the feasibility of strain method to detect the quench of the REBCO conductor.
