Extended Abstract: Engaging the Whole Person: Teaching Ethics to Engineering Students

This paper critiques current approaches to teaching engineering ethics by considering the psychology and philosophy behind how ethics are learned. It proposes an approach to ethics that supports more holistic student learning through engaging students' prior ethical commitments and asking them to engage with an ethical dilemma in a broad social context.
