An Energy Efficient Secure Routing (EESR) using Elliptic Curve Cryptography for Wireless Sensor Networks

Wireless sensor networks (WSNs) have expanded all boundless regard for the scientists in the fields of information and correspondence propels in the systems administration field. WSNs are broadly utilized as a part of numerous applications like environmental monitoring, forest fire observing, search and save tasks in disaster management and climate checking and so on. To preserve the energy of the sensor node, WSNs are organised into cluster. A reliability and security is necessary for the applications like disaster management and battlefield surveillance. Clustering method conserves energy and increase the network life time. In this paper proposes an inter and intra cluster head selection method which consumes less energy and increase the network lifetime. To achieve the security, we introduce elliptic curve cryptography at the cluster head level. The proposed model is evaluated with the existing protocol like LEACH and LEACH-C. The performance of the proposed model is evaluated by considering the packet delivery ratio, number of sensor nodes (SNs) alive and the average energy dissipation. The analysis of the proposed model shows that it enhances the network life time and energy efficient of the WSN.
