Design of low voltage supply Current Feedback Operational Amplifier

A new design of current feedback operational amplier (CFOA) with low power consumption is presented. The design of CFOA is based on Current conveyors of second generation CCII with buffer. The proposed CFOA is working on current mode as well as voltage mode techniques, its power consumption and supply voltage requirement is very less, we have worked only on 1.2 volts dc power supply only. We have performed the Dc and Transient analysis and verified the equations. The CFOA which we have design has advantage of gain bandwidth independency compared to conventional voltage mode operational amplifier. Design of CFOA is implemented using 180nm technology process and the working of the amplifier is verified using Cadence Virtuoso simulation software.
