Design Beamforming Network of Linear Array for Base Station Antennas at 1.71-2.69 GHz by Using Genetic Algorithm

Beamforming network to obtain appropriate excitation for array elements based on GA results is simulated in full wave software in this study. Antenna elements of underlined array are combined in groups of two elements. The algorithm, may encode parameters into binary sequences or use them in continuous form. Both binary and continuous genetic algorithm are considered in this paper and simulation results are provided for array used in base station antennas with asymmetric and null filling radiation pattern. Fabrication and simulation results show a good agreement with simulation in 1.71-2.69 GHz.
