Research on Fault Isolation of Feeder Short Circuit in Parallel Battery System

In order to solve the problem of short circuit fault isolation in parallel battery system, a continuous counter time limit current limiting characteristic of the optimized parallel battery module is proposed. Through the method of software current limiting, the output limit curve of the system output can envelop the overload heat release curve of the mini circuit breaker. A corresponding shunt battery system configuration scheme is put forward for various applications, and the maximum rated current of the feeder mini circuit breaker is reasonably designed. At the same time the experimental platform was built, under various application conditions, the circuit impedance of the short circuit fault of the feeder is simulated and the fault current is tested, and the test results show that in the fault of the feeder, the parallel battery module can provide the overload current in a short time, so that the mini circuit breaker can be reliably removed and the feeder isolation is realized, in addition, when the circuit breaker is removed, the drop level and recovery time of the bus voltage are also improved.
