Modelling Basque intonation using Fujisaki's model and carts

In this paper we present an analysis of the intonation for the Basque language. Based on the Fujisaki and Hirose (1984) model, parameters for a set of about 300 sentences have been manually and automatically calculated and used to train a set of regression trees. Results show that the model is valid for Basque.
