Second Harmonic Generation in Planar Waveguides Using Slant Grating

In this paper, we analyze second harmonic generation in a planar KTP waveguide with fundamental wave and second harmonic wave being non collinear with phase matching being satisfied using slant quasi phase matching gratings. It is shown that for the same input power and length of the device, the proposed design has greater efficiency and similar bandwidth as compared to bulk and larger bandwidth as compared to the channel waveguide.
