A service restoration strategy for active distribution network based on multiagent system

In view of the fast restoration requirement after the fault isolation of distribution network, a service restoration strategy based on multiagent system is proposed in this paper, which reduces the cost of system outages. The multiagent system adopts a hierarchical coordination control model composed of Feeder Agent (FA) and Region agent (RA), and each RA designed with suitable control architecture has the ability to implement restoration, which guarantees the celerity of restoration. After the fault isolation, the outage feeder will be decomposed firstly. The restoration strategy not only initiating microgrid expansion to restore load, but also utilizes interconnection tie to initiate load transfer. And it also considers operational constraint of the feeder and load priority in the process restoration. By building an improved IEEE 14-bus test system on DIGSILENT, the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed strategy are verified.
