Numerical Modelling of Kesterite CZTS Solar Cells for Different Transparent Conductive Oxide (TCOs) With SnS as Potential BSF Layer

CZTS Solar Cell has great potentiality in PV technology as conventional Si based cells already have been reached closer to their maximum efficiency limit and other TFSC like CdTe, CIGS are facing scarcity and toxicity problems. In this study, an optimized CZTS solar cell has been investigated with different front contact where Tin Sulphide (SnS) is used as BSF layer for every structure. Among three TCO layer, ITO shows better performance with SnS BSF layer providing Jsc=19.98 mA/cm
²
, Voc =0.99V, FF= 81.87% and efficiency of 16.34%. Again, stability of the cell has been analysed and found that open circuit voltage and efficiency degrade with the increment of the temperature. Finally, it is realized that AZO and FTO can be cost effective and suitable alternative to the expensive ITO.
