Effective Communication for Stock Availability and Avoid Fraud

The availability of food staples in a government is very important because it will affect the market price and peace. Management of foodstuffs managed by Logistic Agency (LA) is a state company responsible for controlling the availability of the country's staple food. This staple food is primarily taken from farmer partners scattered in various areas around LA. Ineffective processes make many farmers' partners resign and are inactive, as a result they are exploited by external actors who dominate stock procurement. This dominance resulted in some fraud acts in stock management. This study provides lessons from efforts to improve communication effectiveness between LA and farmer partners through the implementation of information systems. The implementation phase begins with the identification of the problem and find the points prone to potential fraud, the result is a system prototype. Finally, it was tested whether this effort has improved communication and reduced the potential for fraud in LA stock management. The result of system implementation contributes a valuable lesson. First, the satisfaction of farmers' partners to be more actively involved in LA activities after many previous partners withdrew. Second, acknowledged by stakeholder's post implementation easier to maintain stock availability. Third, it successfully closed the chance of being vulnerable to the possibility of fraud.
