Capacity Determination of Linear Selective Systems Under the Acting of PSK-n Signal on Its Input due to the Estimation of the Error Probability per Symbol Caused by the ISI

This paper presents the approach of numerical estimation of the capacity of linear selective systems impact by the PSK-n signal. The approach is based on an estimation of error probability per symbol, which is caused by intersymbol interference in the selective systems. Using the presented approach, the capacity of a number of bandpass filters was estimated, the possibility of increasing the capacity due to the use of “transparency windows” was shown, and recommendations for their use were given. It is shown that the error probability per symbol can be reduced by using the law of distribution of values f symbols which is different from equiprobable.
