Laser Scanning of a Soil-Shell Bridge Structure

Geodetic measurements are commonly used in civil construction monitoring. In the following manuscript, a case of a soil-shell bridge deformation over time was taken into account. The bridge has a record breaking span for its technology which equals almost 26 meters. To obtain spatial data, a laser scanning technology was used. Technology is based on measurements conducted by light rays where huge amount of data could be acquired in a relatively short time. Obtained results enable to track and document the spatial response of the structure during the time changes with high accuracy and precision. In addition, to increase the accuracy of the data, the Leica Nova TM 50 tachymeter was used.
