Modeling and Design of Real Gear Tooth Surface for Internal Honing Ring

The nature and quality of internal honing ring have a direct impact on the machining precision, machining efficiency and quality, directly affecting the internal gear honing processing technology. Based on the principle of strong internal meshing gear honing, we adopt the reverse design method to quickly and accurately establish the standard work piece of the real tooth surface model using surface modeling technology. Secondly, the application of generating method principle makes the standard work gear and internal gear honing wheel cutter blank generate motion, enveloping internal honing wheel tooth surface model. Then, according to the internal gear honing machining principle, we use the honing wheel tool after envelope, obtaining workpiece after cutting gear honing. Finally, the overall error analysis of standard work piece gear and the honing cutting work piece gear is made. The accuracy can meet the design requirements and the method can be used in the tooth surface design of high precision honing wheel.
