Diffusionmimetics: An Adaptive Stigmergy-based Swarm Construction Method

In the field of swarm intelligence, researches on termites indicated that stigmergy is the key to swarm construction problem. However, current swarm robots trying to learn from stigmergy is vulnerable to environment changes. This paper have proposed the Diffusionmimetics, using stigmergy to mimic the chemical diffusion process to make the construction of swarm robots adaptive to terrain variance or neighboring structure. Simulation experiments certified that Diffusionmimetics are capable of building structures in the case that obstacles or nearby structures exist.
