Performance of PM-Assisted Synchronous Reluctance Machine Under Rotor Eccentricity

This paper deals with the study of a permanent magnet assisted synchronous reluctance machine (PMaSynRM) under static and dynamic rotor eccentricity. A 5.5 kW machine is used as the test machine, and the study is performed by using the finite element method. The influence of rotor eccentricity on several performance indicators of the PMaSynRM, such as, torque and losses is investigated.
