Modified Current Speed Estimator MRASCCfor Induction Motor Drives

In this paper the specific modification of the MRAS
^CC
speed estimator for induction motor drive is analyzed and tested. This modification is based on the introduction of an auxiliary variable in the mathematical model of the estimator. The modified and classical MRAS
^CC
speed estimators were analyzed in simulation and experimental tests, under motoring and regenerating modes of the drive system, in open and closed-loop operation as well as under rotor time constant mismatch. It has been shown that the modified speed estimator with additional variable is stable in the regenerating mode on contrary to the classical solution.
