A Study of Finding Target Objects for Visualizing Stone Tool Assembly

In archaeology, joining material is one of the most important pieces of evidence that can be found. Joining materials are generally created by assembling stone tools which are excavated from same ruins. Archaeologists go through trial and error in trying to create and map the structure of the joining materials. Since the joining and assembly in archaeology requires time consuming work, in order to simplify the process, some method using computers is required. Using the assembly instruction of a joining material, it is able to reduce the burden. This paper studies a method of finding target objects to visualize pair of joining materials to a user. Through our method, by using real objects, it allows the assembly of stone tools to be efficient and precise.
