FPGA Based SIDO DC Converter for Electronics in Autonomous Rovers Applications

FPGA based Random Pulse width modulation (RPWM) technique is adopted to trigger the Single Input Dual Output (SIDO) DC Chopper configuration. Comparison between conventional Pulse width Modulation (PWM) and proposed switching technique is made through simulation results. The configuration and switching techniques proposed can suppress the conducted Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) better than the conventional switching schemes. Experimental results obtained validate the proposed configuration.
