The Effect of Static Magnetic Field on Chemical Properties of Sewage Sludge During Biological Treatment

In this study, effect of magnetic field on the wastewater treatment was analyzed. During the experiment, biodegradation duration, magnetic flux density and sewage pH were changed within the ranges from 0 to 10 min, 0 to 50 mT and pH 5-7 respectively. These results revealed that organic pollutant biodegradation processes under magnetic field were stimulated, resulting in a higher efficiency of wastewater treatment. The organic compounds removal rate increase with induction of the external magnetic field, turning at 30 mT and pH 6.5 of the tested sewage sample.
