Automotive Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Handling over the Internet

The present research discusses a concept of processing, tracking, and clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) in real-time from automotive diagnostics via Internet. The structure of the concept is build according to the current standards in the automotive industry. It proposes a method and a schematic solution for building such a system with the possibility to monitor and preserve the diagnostic data provided by the automotive diagnostics. The system limits for data transmission and processing speeds are defined. The requirements for electromagnetic compatibility have been defined and schematic solutions are proposed to increase the system stability.
