Research and Design of Effective Positioning Algorithm for Solar Tracking System

The paper presents the research and experiments carried out in order to design an effective positioning algorithm for solar tracking system. The study deals with the method for controlling the driving mechanism of an experimental solar tracker device. An optimized algorithm for control of a solar tracker is proposed. Instead of moving it at equal time intervals, the tracker is moved in equal angular steps at different times of the day for each season.
