Portable System for Telemetry of Patients with a Pacemaker

Several studies show that the number of people being treated at home is constantly increasing as a direct consequence of two factors: (1) the need to reduce hospital costs; (2) and to increase the comfort of the patient. One of the most common applications of telemetry is monitoring of risk patients at home. This paper presents an approach for significantly improving the quality of life of patients with a pacemaker, through their remote monitoring, in cases of lack of a built-in communication system for data transfer to a specialized center.
