Mathematical Modeling of LTCC Based Microfluidic Type Chemical Microreactor

The microfluidic type chemical microreactor was fabricated by means of low temperature co-fired ceramics. For visualization of solutions flow processes inside the microreactor channels a modeling by means of COMSOL 5.3a software was applied. It was demonstrated that for analyzed range of flow rate (1l16) local disturbance of the flow (vorticity) in the sperntine type mixer is clearly visible, reflecting in improved mixing. The computer simulations were confirmed experimentally by a rapid mixing of two fluids (dye and MilliQ water) at the chosen flow rates.
