Comments on “A Stochastic Mathematical Framework for the Analysis of Spherically-Bound Random Arrays”

Buchanan and Huff [1] analyzed the characteristics of spherically bound random arrays and presented a closed-form expression for the expected beam pattern, which is one of the key array characteristics, where $N$ radiators are assumed to be randomly distributed within a spherical volume of radius $A$ . The location of array element $n$ is denoted as radial distance $r_{n} \in [0,A]$ , elevation angle $\theta _{n} \in [0,\pi ]$ , and azimuth angle $\phi _{n} \in [0,2\pi )$ in the spherical coordinates.
