Microwave ablation antenna with ablation area being a flat section

One of the effective technique to deal with cancer cell is microwave ablation (MWA). During the treatment, electromagnetic wave energy is absorbed in the desired areas, which could cause tumor to heat up and necrosis when it reaches a certain temperature. In the actual application process, it makes many existing antenna disable that tumors in patients have large size. In order to better using MWA treating cancer, studies should be focused on the temperature distribution of the tissue after applying the antenna that can apply to tumor in large size. In this study, we propose a model which use three multiple-slots antenna working at 2.45 GHz and 60 W. By analyzing the temperature distribution and the SAR of the liver tissue, we can find a good distance among the three antennas in simulation software.
