Inkjet-printed encodable chipless RFID sensor based on microf uidics

This paper proposes an encodable flexible chipless RFID sensor based on microfluidics. The prototype consists of the microfluidic channels and multiband CPW transmission line, it can be manufactured on low-cost and flexible PET substrate using multilayer inkjet-printing. The multiband CPW transmission line is the key component to obtain the codes and the microfluidic channels realizes the function of encode the RFID module. The proposed encodable chipless RFID sensor could be used in various applications such as liquid leakage detection.
