Study of frequency-alterable microstrip antenna based on temperature sensing material

In this paper, a frequency-alterable microstrip antenna based on new HDPE/BST material is proposed and demonstrated. The dielectric constant of new material varies monotonously with the temperature change, so the resonant frequency of microstrip antenna changes as well. The proposed antenna works at around 1.55GHz and the max gain reaches 4.17dB. The antenna is expected to be applied in temperature monitoring in L band.
