Integrated System for Health Services Management

The health sector in Angola is a fertile field for the use of information technology systems. The distributed characteristics of information, of material and human resources, the workflow of health service providers, the heterogeneity of resources and the cooperative nature of the processes, the easy decomposition of activities, the need of coordination between entities that provide health care motivated us to build a web-based system that acts upon several aspects of health services. We present a system developed to do the management of blood donations and registry of blood donors, the management of pharmaceutical products in pharmacies, online consultations with registered doctors and management of emergency services. This system is available to be used by public in general and by patients, as well as doctors and healthcare professionals both online, at hospitals and at pharmacies.
