A Review on Energy-efficient Technology in Large Data Center

Energy saving of data center is a comprehensive system engineering. Today, the growing energy consumption of data center has been the focus of all parties. This paper introduces the inevitable trend of the large-scale data center, some new energy-saving technologies and systems from the aspects of IT equipment and air conditioning system. It elaborates on the research content of server hardware technology and virtualization technology. And the main means and methods of energy- saving technology of air conditioning and refrigeration are described. The construction of the modular energy-saving data center is a cursory introduction at part V. Finally, the development of the large data center is forecasted.
