Study on optimizing influence of mooring angle in multi-point mooring positioning system

In this paper, a method for calculating the static restoring force of mooring system is proposed to optimize the mooring angle and meet the strength requirements of mooring lines. Using this method, the influence of mooring angle on the static restoring force and the rotation of the platform and the tension uniformity of all mooring lines is studied. The improved GA is used to optimize the mooring angle, and the accuracy of the algorithm improves in two ways: one is to generate the initial population artificially by analyzing the influence of three factors; the other is to strengthen the local search ability by combining adaptive algorithm. The results show that the improved genetic algorithm has higher optimization accuracy. The optimized result is fed back to the tension model of mooring system, and the requirements of the mooring lines on the breaking strength are appropriately reduced. The research work can provide a reference for mooring layouts and material selection of mooring lines.
