SQP-based testability index allocation method for avionics system

Considering that upgrading and modification of the avionics system will change the structure and signal cross-linking relationship of the original system, and the original testability indices would be no longer suitable for the upgraded system, it is necessary to redesign the testability. Besides, in order to solve the problem of low fault diagnosis and high testing cost caused by unreasonable testability index allocation, a method of optimal allocation based on sequence quadratic programming (SQP) is proposed for avionics system. Firstly, by analyzing the influencing factors that affect the allocation of testability index, a testability allocation model is established. Then, SQP algorithm is used to solve the model. Finally, the method is applied to the upgrade process of a certain aircraft communication system to verify the practicality of this method. Simulation result illustrates that this method is easy to operate and has great value for engineering practice.
