On the constraint normalization: A further empirical study

The form of constraint violation plays an important role when determining the feasibility of an individual when solving the Constrained Optimization Problems (COPs). In the previous paper, the effect of normalization is systematically analyzed, and the relationship between the two forms of constraint violation and problem characteristics are constructed. This paper tries to verify whether this relationship can be generalized, and whether it is related with different Constraint Handling Techniques (CHTs), with two sets of benchmark functions and one more CHT are adopted. The findings prove that the mapping between problem characteristics and constraint violation forms should be stated in certain situation, as the relationship varies with different situations.
