Chemometric tool for doping control based on hierarchical cluster analysis

We are presenting a pattern recognition application designed to be used in doping control in order to screen for ephedrine and amphetamine analogues and homologues. The class membership is established based on the spectra recorded with a new portable hollow fiber GC-IRAS laser spectrometer. The most effective screening system has been found by comparing the results obtained with different experimental setups and spectra preprocessing methods.
