Multilayer SIW dual-mode bandpass filter with higher-order mode attenuation

In this work, we provide a multilayer structure substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) bandpass filter for Ku-band. For the multilayer structure, two substrates are stacked using low-cost and reliable PCB fabrication process and each substrate possesses a circular shaped dual-mode resonator for fourth-order response. By adopting tilted port configuration rather than typical orthogonal one, higher-order modes can be attenuated and the wider stopband characteristic is achieved. Simulation and measurement results are well matched each other.
