Industrial Automation in the USSR in the 1960s-Middle 1980s: Stagnation or Breakthrough?

In the article on the basis of archival materials (the Russian State Archive of Economics, the Russian State Archive in the city of Samara, statistical data and periodicals, the features of industrial automation in the 1960s - the mid-1980s are analyzed, factors that contributed to and impeded this process are examined the competitiveness of industrial automation in comparison with foreign countries, the evolution of this concept is analyzed in the period under study, the results of an industrial automation in the Soviet Union.
