Development of speech-based interface for smart home systems

In 2019, a team of students and teachers from University of Miskolc is taking part in the Solar Dechatlon Europe Contest. The basic idea of our Project, HoME - HoME from the past for our future-, is to recondition the typical, standardized type of housing in Hungary, the so called Hungarian cube. In the article the plan for the Smart House System of project HoME is going to be presented. The most comfortable way of human communication is speech, which is a possible channel for human-machine interface as well, therefore we are developing a Speech-Based Interface for this Smart System. The interface will not only process verbal commands but also will provide two-way communication.
