A review on approximate computing and some of the associated techniques for energy reduction in IOT

In the present time where every single individual is associated through a system by means of web, this is extremely normal to have the requirement of a system through which the devices can be connected with each other and for this reason IOT was presented. The innovation has built up its base in the last couple of years. But, still there are some areas which needs to be improved and power consumption in the devices is one of them. Some of the various technologies being used or proposed are discussed in the paper. A review on approximate computing which uses approximate results, its key principles, applications and how it is efficient for energy reduction in IOTs and other areas is given in the paper. Some of the techniques and their comparison is also provided to see how we can use approximate computing in the system and this paper provides some new directions for the future reasearches as well.
