Prospective solution to bank card system using fingerprint

The rapid growth in number of bank transaction demands for faster, accurate and secured identification of valid customers of a bank at Automated Teller Machine(ATM) kiosks. The rapidly progressing bio-informatics technology offers attractive opportunities. Biometrics help to uniquely recognize a person with the help of his biological characteristic. The biometric technology uses features such as fingerprints, face-recognition, handwriting, vein, voice and iris. Biometric-based systems provide the data privacy and secured financial transactions. The most commonly employed and widely accepted biometric technology is fingerprint authentication. In this paper, an ATM bank system, embedded with fingerprint identification scheme is proposed. This system has fastened the ATM transaction process and ameliorates the security level.
